Pergrin

Peregrine is a stepped hydroplane powered by three 350 HP outboard motors. The vessel is in 1C survey for 50 passengers and is capable of over 35 kn. In addition to the stepped hydroplane hull form, the pillarless canopy arrangement has aerodynamic design features which lock a slow moving vortex of air in the passenger deck area. This allows passengers to move about the deck and hold a conversation without being buffeted by wind.

The vessel was built by its owner on site in Kununurra from a kit supplied by Damien Smith Design Pty Ltd. The final stability test and survey was completed in Kununurra.
